This article was published in the Kerrville Daily Times on April 22, 2009.
I never saw any other coverage of this incident, either on the television news or in the newspapers, other than a very brief additional piece saying the victim had died of their injuries. The victim was never publicly identified as far as I know. All this is extremely odd under the circumstances.
