Response to Dr. Williams: A More Complete Timeline

RESPONSE TO DR. WILLIAMS: A MORE COMPLETE TIMELINE

A recent issue of the local newspaper here contained a lengthy op-ed piece penned by Dr. Michael Williams, a former head of the local hospital, regarding the recent highly controversial sale of the hospital to the Methodist system and the behemoth HCA. In his piece, Dr. Williams gave quite a bit of good information on the history of the hospital in a timeline-type format—much more detail than I’ve previously seen anywhere else. However, the information he gave on a subject I happen to have considerable knowledge on doesn’t go nearly far enough in explaining both the relevant history of the hospital and what’s really going on. In fact, despite how lengthy and detailed his information is, I estimate that he has omitted at least two-thirds of the facts needed in order to truly understand what’s going on with this issue. I intend to fill in many of the gaps here.

I agree completely with Dr. Williams that in order to fully understand the situation with the local hospital, you do have to delve deeply into its history. The relevant history actually begins in 1973, when witnesses who were there at the time told me a man drove his pickup truck up to the entrance of the emergency room, got out, went inside, and announced without any discernible emotion, “The body is in the truck.” Upon hearing this, medical personnel rushed outside and opened the truck doors—to find no one there. But then they looked into the bed of the truck—and were shocked to see the nearly decapitated and obviously dead body of a teenage girl. It was the man’s daughter, and her body had been tossed into the back of the truck like a dead deer. At that point, a second pickup pulled up, driven by a new young police officer who happened to also be a close family friend of the man and his family. This officer immediately took charge of the situation. And so, the Great Cover-Up began, with the local hospital front and center right from the start.

You see, the father of the dead girl (and his father before him) was extremely well-connected politically and professionally, and for personal reasons, was also extremely desperate to cover up the truth about what had happened to his daughter. He was not himself the killer, but he knew who was, and the truth would have ruined him in his estimation. So he used every tool at his disposal: very high level connections, threats, lies, and more to make sure his version of the truth (that his daughter’s death happened later at the hospital after lifesaving measures were attempted and that the death was accidental) was the only one given out. Which could never completely work, given that this is a small town where gossip runs rampant, but he was absolutely determined to conceal the truth anyway, and so he did. The hospital and law enforcement at all levels were involved in the cover-up.

All of this told the girl’s actual killer that he could do anything he wanted to without fear of prosecution, so he began to do exactly that. Preventable tragedies began to spread outward like ripples in a pond. But this killer was highly intelligent as well as psychopathic. [Note from Medawar: Being a psychopath is an emotional handicap rather than a mental one.] The killer went off to college and medical school and became a doctor, after which of course he came back here to practice where he was a very big fish indeed. He learned to fly as well and obtained a pilot’s license and several planes, which caused the ripples to spread out even further. And, most importantly for the topic at hand, he became Chief of Staff at the hospital for many years (because, again, no one could or would touch him).

At some point this doctor and his friends realized that the biggest money of all could be made by building and opening, and most importantly, owning an ambulatory surgery center. This would be in direct competition with the local hospital though, and would siphon off most of the funds from the hospital, so the doctor and his friends began to run the hospital, which was non-profit and publicly owned, into the ground.

The doctor also became desperate to own the land the new ambulatory surgery center was to be built on because of the huge potential amounts of money to be made. This was when I began to be a big problem for him, because I owned the main tract near the hospital that was the perfect, and therefore the intended, site.

By 1999, plans for the new center must have been in full swing, because there had been a series of strange new incidents over the previous year or so (that I can’t go into right now). It was then that the second death critical to the hospital’s current situation took place. Because everything these days has become international, a very well-known and much-loved public figure from another country came to know about this area and, by virtue of having trained a young journalist who ran afoul of the local medical community and their friends in law enforcement and high-level politics by filing a malpractice suit, what was happening here. They either were, or were assumed to be, planning to publicize it all hugely because it would have been a major news story, but this never happened because the foreign public figure was shot to death in a brazen killing that was clearly done by a professional. This high-profile murder sent shock waves around the globe that still reverberate today.

Immediately after this killing, residents of at least one neighboring community and their small hospital began putting as much distance between themselves and the doctor and hospital here as possible, but rumors and quiet whispers were rampant. Then in the foreign country where the high-profile murder had taken place, a man who was obviously not guilty was arrested and charged with the killing. The minute he was arrested, the attempts to obtain my land either illegally or on the cheap began again, at first semi-seriously and, the moment the obvious patsy was convicted, in earnest [causing me to start this blog!].

This man spent several years wrongly incarcerated. Investigative journalists from the victim’s own organization became involved at the request of the wrongly-convicted man’s sister, and they eventually got his conviction overturned and him freed despite potentially contemptuous letters to three appeal court judges written by a different colleague of the victim instructing them to deny the appeal!

Also, immediately after the 1999 high-profile murder in the other country, people who owned property around me suddenly began dying under various suspicious circumstances. The first of these deaths that I know of was in or around 2000, the second was in 2001, and there were three in the first four months of 2003, one of which was the woman who lived on the place next to mine. She was shot execution-style, and her death was ruled a suicide despite there being two bullets in her head, not one.

Meanwhile, the man who had lost his daughter had been a driving force behind the local hospital almost from the start, and when he saw the entity he’d worked so hard for being run into the ground deliberately, he fought back. He had always made sure he controlled the hospital board and finances. Now he used his high-level connections and helped Dr. Williams, the new CEO who was already well-respected locally but without any ties to any clique, attract experts (production engineers as well as physicians) from the outside to run the hospital properly. They turned things around, and the hospital won awards and accolades under their tenure. They also purchased property a little further out of town with an eye toward expanding the hospital facilities in the future in a nearby and more easily accessible location that was more open and level and would allow more room for expansion.

But this was not to last. The man who’d lost his daughter in 1973 (who was no saint, by the way; he could be quite ruthless himself, but he had his reasons for keeping the hospital in good shape) became seriously ill and died in 2014. At which point all the people who’d done so much to improve the hospital were ousted and the hospital began to be run into the ground again. And low and behold! the focus was once again on the group of doctors (plus at least one local attorney and one local dentist) who still desperately wanted to start their own ambulatory surgical center that would compete with the hospital and siphon off the most profitable parts of its income into their personal pockets. Because the intent was to bleed the hospital dry financially, of course it needed to be sold off while it was still a going concern to make someone else take the losses. (No doubt the fact that the hospital is no longer locally owned and run but the new ambulatory surgical center is will be extremely well publicized, too!) It’s also worth noting in this regard that the hospital foundation, Wellness Center, Rehab Center, and other related entities that would not compete with the planned outpatient surgery facility were kept out of the recent sale of the hospital. And sure enough, I’m once again receiving ridiculously low offers for my property from all sorts of people, companies, and groups who all claim to have no connections whatsoever to the doctor and his friends, and the property intended for expansion is now slated for development as a subdivision instead.

My own hospital-related timeline complete for now, it’s time to talk about how to move forward—properly versus “business as usual”. The tragic truth is that the original lies and coverups starting at the local hospital back in 1973 have allowed a shocking number of additional homicides and other criminal acts to take place over many years that should never, ever have been allowed to happen. These truths are now public knowledge, so continuing to try and deny them only makes the whole situation worse. And the inescapable truth is that the hospital here is now forever tied to what is probably the most high-profile murder case of the late twentieth century—by the same person who is now behind the undermining of the hospital for personal profit—and that this fact is widely known both here and abroad where the crime took place. And because countries tend to get upset when persons from outside their borders come in and execute their most popular citizens, you can bet they’re never going to stop seeking justice. In fact, there continues to be an open and active investigation into this particular homicide that has already cost that country the equivalent of millions of dollars. There are no statutes of limitations on murder cases there, either, so all law enforcement has to do is sit back and wait until it’s politically expedient to make their move. Personally, I wouldn’t want that hanging over my head and the preventable deaths and serious crimes that were never stopped to be on my conscience.

I say it’s time to start being proactive: to tell the whole story connected with the local hospital, not just part of it; to put a stop to all the wrongdoing, not just the most convenient parts; and to demand a complete accounting of exactly what was paid for our hospital and exactly who gets (or gets control of) that money, down to the last penny. Whether you like it or not, the whole world really is watching.

UPDATE 09/06/24: The privately owned outpatient surgery center is now being built across the street from my property on a much smaller tract of land. The listed head of the group of investors building the facility is the former junior partner of the doctor written about above, who is now retired.

 

Drugs and Snuff Films

What follows here is the third installment in my series of posts on things that go together.  All three posts together form a coherent series and are meant to be taken as parts of a whole.  And every word in each of them is critically important!

I think everyone nowadays is aware that the scourge of illegal drugs—the societal woes it causes and the organized crime networks it spawns—is international in scope. Banking issues and transfers of cash related to the illegal drug trade are both world-wide and potentially traceable, and cash transfers between countries have the added issues of conversions and conversion rates.

One way organized crime gets around these monetary problems is to trade or barter for illegal drugs instead of paying for them in cash. The practice of trading or bartering for desired goods predates paying for goods with cash by a considerable margin of time in history and is actually still quite commonplace in certain areas overseas. Indeed, original Northern European settlers of the town in which I live famously signed what is said to be the only peace treaty with Native Americans that has never been broken as part of a deal where both money and goods were paid by the settlers in exchange for protection from attacks.

In order for a barter system for illegal drugs to work, potential purchasers must have something to trade that is of value to the sellers. In the Middle East (a region of major opiate production), this is often Mexican vanilla, which is a popular addition to coffee in the many cafes there. Once my friend Medawar explained this to me, I remembered hearing my former mother-in-law and some of her lady-friends talking about bringing back whole suitcases of Mexican vanilla from their trips down there, supposedly to bake with, although in retrospect, the amounts seem to have been rather excessive.

Medawar has also explained to me that in the Far East, gambling on sporting events is extremely popular, so anyone having inside information on which players in a particular match might be playing injured, for example, could potentially trade this information for drugs there.

I'm told that the other item of great value in the Far East when it comes to purchasing power for illegal drugs is hardcore pornography. There is a huge market for this particular evil over there, with such sales largely unchecked and the desire for new and fresh photos, movies, and victims remaining constant. In this regard, “snuff films” in which victims are brutalized, tortured, and murdered in front of a camera, are especially valuable as trade items for drugs.

The making of snuff films is particularly attractive to psychopathic killers, because their poor behavioral control, in combination with their need to self-medicate in order to control behaviors they need to conceal from others, makes them extremely vulnerable to addictions of all sorts. [See the Merck Manual for more information on psychopaths and addiction.] Besides commonly having multiple substance addictions (like illegal drugs) and addictions to gambling, psychopathic killers are addicted to the feelings they get when they are killing, so the making of snuff films offers a way to fuel their initial thrill from the killings themselves, their insatiable need to relive the killing over and over again by repeatedly watching the films, and their need to purchase substances they are hooked on.

In the Far East markets for hardcore pornography in general and snuff films in particular, attractive Western victims command the highest prices. However, victims of all sexes, sexual orientations, ages, and races can be of interest to the market, particularly if there is a related “story line” involved.

When I first discovered Medawar's blog online and began corresponding with him about the organized stalking and other serious crimes I am the victim of, I also told him about two cold homicide cases I had previously contacted law enforcement officials who were investigating them about, because I had recognized certain aspects of these cases. One of these homicides had occurred in Texas (but not in Central Texas), while the other took place outside of Texas. In the Texas case, which I learned about online, I recognized the names of persons the victim was said to have been involved with as being the same as persons who had committed fraud and other criminal acts against me and whom I knew to be from the same area as the victim. In the case from outside Texas, which I learned about on a national television show, I recognized suspects from their descriptions and an item of clothing one of the suspects was said to have been wearing. In the first case, I provided investigators with information on my case and the perpetrators and was told only that police “already had a suspect in the case who was a known associate of the victim's”. In the second case, I provided additional details about the item of clothing witnesses had described, additional information about unusual physical characteristics of the suspects that witnesses were likely to have noticed, and information on the whereabouts of the suspects at the time of the murder. I never heard back from investigators in this case.

Medawar was particularly interested in the second of these cases (the one from outside Texas), because he recognized certain elements of it that were very theatrical: the way the suspects had dressed and acted, the type of weapon used, and more. Having grown up with and having been stalked by a future serial killer, Medawar originally noticed the way the killer/s in this case appeared to have committed the crime around a detailed story that had been worked out well in advance. [For more information on this, please see my two previous posts here.]

After doing some research, Medawar discovered a substantial number of similar crimes, some in Texas, some in other parts of the U.S., and many in the same area as the one I'd originally told him about. He pointed out to me the common aspects of all or most of these crimes. Besides having strong elements of the theatrical, there were multiple suspects involved, but the primary killer always appeared to be the same person. [Note: Psychopaths are well-known to have no trouble finding each other; any psychopath in a long-term relationship will usually be found to be partnered with another psychopath.] The killer arranged to be with the victim in ways where he and any accomplices would not be disturbed while the murder was being committed, sometimes for quite lengthy periods of time. Victims were tortured and killed in particularly violent and brutal ways that required considerable medical knowledge and familiarity with killing. Victims and crime scenes were left in ways that indicated extensive knowledge of crime scene investigative techniques: victims were left in running water to remove traces of DNA, crime scenes were quickly and expertly cleaned up (meaning there had been extensive planning and preparation ahead of time), and more. After the murders, suspects other than the primary killer made sure they were seen and/or photographed driving victims' vehicles to deliberately confuse the investigations and divert suspicion away from the primary killer.

Medawar and I then began to focus our attention on certain ones of these cases that most closely conformed to his model and had the most detail as far as descriptions of suspects. We were particularly interested in cases occurring at times where I could provide information about the whereabouts of persons we suspected of having been involved in the crimes.

As soon as Medawar and I began doing this, a number of interesting things began to happen. (Remember that as victims of organized stalking, all of our computer, phone, written, and spoken communications are being illegally monitored and shared 24/7.) One suspect began deliberately parading around in front of me at local stores, wearing the item of clothing I had originally described to authorities. Other people walked up to me in parking lots and other public places while wearing various life-like rubber masks and wigs of various kinds, especially ones of elderly men and women. That same week, a local pilot whose photograph very closely resembled a suspect in one of the killings far from Texas turned up listed as having just died in the local newspaper. Most of the people I strongly suspected of being involved in these homicides began stalking me in person in various ways. And there is more, but for now I choose not to disclose everything.

Because I knew the persons I suspected of being involved in these killings were heavily involved in the drug trade here, Medawar believed the strongly theatrical aspects of the cases we were looking at meant the murders had been filmed so the snuff films could be traded overseas for drugs. This fits very well with the fact that you can often drive through my neighborhood at night and smell the noxious odor of burning “China sticks” (pressed sticks of potent cannabis soaked in opiates) coming from the houses of my ex-husband's stalker-friends on the hill above my house.

You should also be aware that Medawar and I strongly suspect the same persons involved in the types of cases discussed here of being involved in numerous other very different types of homicides. As I discussed in my post titled “Stalking and Murder” recently, psychopaths who stalk kill to many different well-developed stories in their heads. Criminal profilers seem to have no trouble understanding that a particular murderer can kill repeatedly to one of these stories, but they seem to have trouble understanding the way a single psychopath can kill to unlimited different stories and patterns—or just how detailed and unique each of these can be.

Finally, I need to sound some warnings. Anyone having any knowledge of any kind about a homicide can be charged with the crime, and there are no statutes of limitations in homicide cases. Also be aware that a great many people close to the persons I suspect of involvement in these homicide cases are now suddenly turning up dead themselves; all of these deaths in such a relatively short period of time cannot possibly be coincidental. And finally, please be aware that there are now far too many leaks in the dam of lies and cover-ups here to be able to be plugged up (even by the Department of Justice). This is huge, and the whole thing is about to give way.

Why They Do It

For a long time, I've wanted to do a post about why people participate in organized/gang stalking. I'm still researching and thinking about this subject and will probably end up tackling it numerous times as more information about organized stalking comes out and more research into it is done.

I've discussed elsewhere in this blog the general estimates that approximately one-third of the people who participate in the organized stalking of others are mentally ill perpetrators who enjoy persecuting innocent people, roughly another third are people who participate in stalking because they've been lied to or tricked into doing so, and a final third who participate out of fear of becoming victims of stalking themselves. However, in the small community of primarily German immigrants who are intensely clannish and close-knit and always know each others' business very well that I live in, the idea that a third of the people participating in anything at all that requires them to be clueless about what they're involved in is difficult to believe.

In our community, where the majority of citizens do appear to participate in organized stalking, a larger than normal number of the stalkers seem to enjoy the victimizing of others and do most definitely participate with full knowledge of what's actually going on. Most, if not all, of these perpetrators exhibit recognizable signs of psychopathic behavior to various degrees. (For more information on psychopathic traits and how to recognize them, I refer readers to excellent works on the subject by Dr. Hare up in Canada.) Because numerous researchers have noticed strong genetic connections with regard to psychopathic disorders, I believe the intermarriage that has been and continues to be so common in my community may well be breeding larger numbers of psychopaths than in normal populations (and probably more severe ones as well). These people are characterized by their lack of empathy for others, the way they enjoy conning and manipulating others, and many additional traits that are necessary for stalkers, so I suspect that stalking holds a special attraction for these people.

In addition, it's becoming increasingly apparent to those who study persons who enjoy stalking others that there is an extremely strong connection between stalking and homicide, with stalking being considered unrequited murder so that a gradual progression occurs between the two. Obviously, the people who do this are very mentally ill/psychopathic indeed.

While it's difficult to believe that a large portion of our local stalkers are participating due to having been lied to or tricked rather than knowing what's really going on, certainly some of those here who stalk do so because of having been fed false information. Organized stalking cannot exist on any major scale without many of the perpetrators having been lied to and/or manipulated by the psychopaths discussed above. My good friend Medawar, who has spent a lifetime studying organized stalking, has posted an in-depth discussion of how pathological liars actually drive organized stalking by committing what he terms "psychological violence", the forcible hijacking of what normal people think and believe by the use of deception. In an inbred community like ours, with higher than average numbers of psychopaths, the lying and manipulating of others is epidemic, even among lifelong close associates (many of whom are too close to see it?).

Finally, because there is so much serious and completely unchecked crime here due to the numerous and extremely high-level connections locals have (remember that the LBJ ranch and the Bush Museum of the Pacific War are located here, for example), it's clear that significant numbers of local people are participating in organized stalking out of fear of becoming targeted individuals themselves. In such a small community where everyone knows (or believes they know) everyone else's business, people are exposed on a daily basis to the suffering endured by local organized stalking victims and have intimate and detailed knowledge about what's being done to these victims, particularly with regard to illegal surveillance, serious financial crimes, and murder. A strong "keep your head down" mentality exists, and when this fails, reluctant participation is the logical next step for what is perceived (often rightly) as survival.

Notice that I'm staying completely secular in my discussion of why people stalk for now. However, as a committed Christian, I've also been curious about the spiritual aspects of stalking and am deeply concerned about the spiritual conditions of those who practice it. More on that later...

Finally, here is a link to a recent post by another good friend of mine in which someone who is involved in organized stalking at a very high level confesses a good deal of what they and their co-conspirators do. I'm asking readers to take the time to go to this article and read it carefully, because the revelations it contains are detailed and shocking to the unaware. Sadly, in my experience, they are also extremely accurate.

More Local Deaths

These are all very recent. Even one of them is too many!

At least two of these deaths had connections to Fair Oaks Ranch, which happens to be where P.I. #2 [see previous post] lives.

I'm told the skull in the bag may possibly be some sort of sick medical prank.

Finally, Mr. Scripps was a member of the well-known media family.

Social Aspects Of Gang Stalking

Are you as disturbed as I am by the large number of people who are suddenly "going postal" and/or killing themselves in dramatic fashion? A very high percentage of these people have been described as being victims of "bullying", "harassment", "cyberharassment", etc. in the days, weeks, or months leading up to these incidents. They are also described by those close to them as "not at all the type to do something like that".

I strongly suspect many (if not all) of them were targeted victims of gang stalking. Most of them have characteristics of persons who tend to become targeted individuals: intelligent, well-educated, quiet, introverted, a few very close friends, alternative lifestyles, sensitive, etc. Many of them are from areas where gang stalking is known to be prevalent. All of their actions suggest feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, frustration, and anger about what was being done to them and the lack of assistance, support, and protection available to help them cope with their situations.

The recent example of this from right here in Austin might be a good case in point. The student involved, a sophomore math student, apparently ran onto the U.T. campus with an assault rifle, fired off a few rounds, ran up to the sixth floor of a library building, and committed suicide. Everyone who knew this student well is saying these actions were completely out of character for him, and everyone close to both him and the investigation is tip-toeing around what might have led him to do what he did. As both my blog in general and my recent posting of another very serious Austin example in particular show, gang stalking is rampant and completely uncontrolled here. Also, another U.T. math student coincidentally happened to have been the victim of a homicide (unsolved) in the recent past. Tragically, there will be more and more of these incidents as targeted individuals lash out in anger and frustration and pain at their tormentors because they have no other recourse for getting relief from what's being done to them.

In our community at present, I believe the biggest social manifestation of gang stalking is the number of suicides here (the genuine ones, that is, not the staged ones). The cause of the vast majority of these is rampant and completely unchecked organized white collar crime. White collar criminals operate by systematically stealing all the assets of one individual and quickly moving on to another, and they do this using whatever methods are the fastest and most effective for that particular individual. (Do you see the pattern of targeting here?) In this area, a well-entrenched network of doctors, lawyers, bankers, and public officials (plus a few others) first apply pressure of some kind to victims (usually a combination of financial and social) using various means designed to gain control of their assets. One of the most commonly used methods for doing this is deliberately getting victims dependant on various substances (prescription medications, alcohol, or illegal drugs), because it's fairly quick and easy--one prescription or party are often all that's needed--and results in near-total control of the targeted individual. If that doesn't work, the next step is often involuntary commitment for short periods (see "Issues Of Commitment")--just long enough to get complete control of the victims' assets. If everything else fails to produce the desired result, the victim becomes a gang stalking target, with sophisticated illegal surveillance being used to both facilitate the stalking and learn what particularly "gets to" each victim the most in order to systematically drive them to suicide.

One of the most basic, common, and effective tools these criminals use, both to steal assets outright and also to drive targeted individuals to suicide, is their deliberate manipulation of family members and friends of victims in order to get them to turn on each other. This tactic is necessary for the successful thefts of assets by means like fraudulent trusts and involuntary commitments in particular, and all indications are that white collar criminals here are particularly adept at exploiting the local "insider" networks already in place in order to do this. People who are persuaded to become involved in these crimes for whatever reason, whether out of fear, greed, increased status in the community, or even pure sport, need to be made fully aware that they are in fact being cleverly manipulated by others and are considered completely expendable and exploitable by those who control them. Here, as most everywhere else, another of the main tools for organized stalking of targeted individuals is cyberharassment. Besides what's obviously being done here to me repeatedly, you can find a detailed discussion of another case of this at my earlier post entitled "The Coach". These kinds of cases make extensive use of social networking and discussion sites in order to defame, libel, and harass victims in every possible way. (Again, also see "Gang Stalking Summary" for more information.)

All of this is completely unacceptable by any rational-thinking person's definition of what's good, proper, right, and civilized as far as social conduct and behavior.

Military Deaths

Posted here is information on a number of deaths from recent years involving military or former military personnel. Again, some of these may possibly be genuine accidents or have other causes, but I believe most of them need further investigation. Also, as before, I need to make it clear that there are a lot more of these than what is shown.

As you can probably tell, there's some overlap between the various catagories. Finally, the well-known homicide cases of victims Col. Phillip Shue and Heidi Seaman could be included here, but I've decided not do so because there is already a great deal of information about their deaths elsewhere on the web that is easy to locate.

The Skinned Woman

This excerpt is from a 12/30/06 article about former Bexar County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Vincent DiMaio by V. Davila published in the San Antonio Express-News. This particular case is absolutely chilling, particularly in light of the fact that it's still unsolved.

Forgotten

Here I'm posting some examples of people I believe are victims who've been forgotten or ignored by law enforcement. (Sadly, there are many more.)

These persons are NOT forgotten by those who loved them, and they are not forgotten by me.

Notice how many of these people died from head trauma.

Hidden

This murder victim's body was taken across county lines and hidden until it had decomposed. Initial media reports said the body was found inside a vacant ranch house.

Dumped

Interstate 10 passes through only a small corner of Gillespie County--yet that's where this murder victim's body was dumped.

The Case Of The Dropped Driver's License

How many killers do you know of that conveniently leave their driver's license AND a current photo of themselves by their victims?

This case rocked the Comfort area in 2003. As you read these accounts, notice how the officials' positions change. Keep in mind that property along I-10 in this area is extremely valuable and greatly desired by developers, particularly if it's scenic (because it makes for great subdivisions). Property close to all of I-10 is also often used by drug smugglers (see for example my post "Letter To The Editor" from 6/14/10).

My former father-in-law's stepmother was from Comfort. During the years I was married, my husband's family owned a ranch in this same area; I don't know if they still own it or not. Certainly they and their associates are some of the people most interested in real estate for development in this area.

Finally, there have been a large number of suspicious deaths in this same area over the last ten years or more. Many of these are discussed in my 9/3/09 post here entitled "I-10 At Comfort". One of those who died here was a state trooper said to be on some sort of "special task force".
