The Fireplug Incident

A few months after my divorce was finalized, city workers began installing a new water line across our front yard next to the street. At the time, my property was just outside the city limits, but there had been talk for several years about the city annexing our area, so I assumed the new pipe installation was related to that. (We have our own well and septic system.)

My children and I were surprised when the work began on our property, since we'd never been notified about it by anyone. We were even more surprised when we saw what looked like a large pipe sticking up out of the ground and covered with black plastic that was put in by the street in our front yard almost directly opposite our front door. We assumed this was for hook-ups to city water and sewer, should we ever want them, and I also assumed it would eventually be made more cosmetically acceptable.

Imagine our shock one day when the city workers finally removed the black plastic covering to reveal a bright red fire hydrant in the center of our front yard! Our house has two stories and sits on a hillside below the level of the street, so every view from the front of our house now looked out onto this hydrant. It was an eyesore we'd never been consulted about, and it seriously devalued our house and property. There was only one possible reason for its installation in that way and in that position: harassment. My kids and I were livid.

I immediately fired off the letter to the city shown here. A few days later, I received a reply from the mayor saying the city had notified my ex-husband about the work and asked him to tell us (even though they were well aware my ex- didn't live here anymore and no longer owned the property).

The mayor apologized to us. He said he'd personally driven by our house and agreed the hydrant's placement was offensive. He assured us the city would relocate the hydrant as soon as possible, and within a few days, it was moved a short distance down the street--still on our property, but out-of-sight from the front of our house. However, small protruding pipes and a rectangular metal cover were left behind in the spot where the hydrant had been, and they are still clearly visible in the middle of our front yard today (marking where the hydrant was originally installed).

I am also posting a copy of a letter I received from my ex-husband in 2003 that discusses this incident. In this letter, my ex- agrees that the original location of the hydrant was harassment. The "outlot" he refers to is his property bordering mine which did not have its agricultural exemption questioned when mine did, even though my property was clearly being used for agricultural purposes and his clearly was not.

While I'm posting my ex-husband's letter here to help document "the fireplug incident", it is also important for readers to go back a few posts and consider it along with the documents posted under "Chronologic Order". This letter is a good example of what I meant in the earlier post when I said my ex- would not give me copies of the documentation of agricultural use of our land I knew he had. Here you can see how he skirts the issue in various ways without ever actually providing me with what I'd asked him for (and what he knew I really needed).

Notice also that my ex- is aware I haven't been able to obtain legal representation and that he tries to sent me to one of his father's law partners. Although I didn't know it at the time, the particular family he talks about this lawyer representing just happens to own a large parcel of land near ours and also happens to own the major construction company employing the owner of the property to the west of us, the sme man who also happens to be a civil engineer, a pilot, the husband of a local doctor, and a school board member (as well as a close associate of my ex-husband's).

File Numbers

Early in 2005, I hired a lawyer to represent us that the ex-DEA and ex-FBI agents I'd hired as private investigators to help me figure out what was going on with Ed Hodges recommended highly and even went with me to see. On the day I first met this attorney and hired him, he told me why the trust document Ed Hodges had mailed me was fraudulent and I looked at it carefully for the first time and realized it was not the document I'd signed. Also at this meeting (which the former FBI agent also attended), this lawyer casually mentioned some sort of problem with file numbers on the document but wouldn't explain this further.

Several times over the next few months, I tried unsuccessfully to get this attorney to explain to me what he'd meant about the file numbers, but he just changed the subject or said it didn't matter. Eventually, I tried to get him to explain his earlier remarks to me in writing as shown here, and you can see his reply.

I'm no lawyer myself and have no idea if there's anything to this or not, but given the fact that I later caught these people allowing my adversaries to listen in on my private conversation with them and fired them as a result, I have to wonder. Therefore, I'm posting copies of the file numbers from various versions of the fraudulent trust document here in the hope that someone else will explain to me what's going on with them.

For more information on all this, please read "My Story" at the beginning of this blog.

Lawyer 5

Shown here is an email exchange I had with the first lawyer recommended to me by the document expert I hired. (See my 9/16/09 post below entitled "She Said".) The document expert recommended this attorney (who specializes in personal injury law) when I first met with her and hired her (which was the day before she said she'd had some sort of mysterious all-day meeting; I'm not sure why she told me about this).

On the morning of June 14, 2006, my cell phone rang while I was sitting in the waiting room at the dentist's office waiting to get my teeth cleaned. The number came up as being from San Antonio [I can provide the entire number]. When I answered, a man who sounded like this lawyer said my former brother-in-law's name in a questioning manner. [My former brother-in-law is also a personal injury lawyer.] I told the caller they had the wrong number, and they immediately hung up without saying anything else.

As you can see here, this lawyer refused to represent us a few days later, so I called the other attorney the document examiner referred me to as shown below in "She Said". (I then met with and hired this second attorney, but I later had to fire her as I explained in "My Story" at the beginning of this blog.)

Coincidentally, a 30-year-old man from Austin with the same somewhat unusual last name as the lawyer in this email exchange was shot to death in our town on 10/28/06. This fatal shooting happened at a home just off the same road that borders my property to the north, but about a mile past my place to the west. The young man was supposedly killed by the owner of the house because he was trying to break in. The newspapers reported that the Texas Rangers were investigating, but as far as I know, no charges were ever filed in the case.

There are some other odd coincidences regarding this shooting. The victim's mother's last name (which is different from her son's) is the same as that of 3 local siblings who also died fairly young. (At least 2 of these died suddenly around the same time.) A step-brother of the victim's has the same last name as that of the lawyer Ed Hodges used for the fraudulent trust he forged my initials on and illegally manipulated and is from the same city. The lifelong best friend of the victim (according to his obituary) happens to live in a rental house owned by my ex-husband that borders my property, and this friend lost his own sister in a suspicious car accident years ago. Furthermore, this same best friend also happens to be a cousin of one of my former father-in-law's and brother-in-law's long-time law partners. [Now are you thoroughly confused??]

Lawyer 4

As stated previously, I've been advised that it's important for me to document my inability to find proper legal representation for myself and my children despite my many years of constantly searching, so periodically I'm posting examples of my dealings with various attorneys and organizations. Again, these are in no particular order; the numbers I'm assigning them are only for identification purposes within my blog.

I've discussed this particular lawyer before, but I feel the need to go into more detail about him because my dealings with him were so different from what I generally encounter. (Attorneys usually either refuse to even speak with me on the phone when they hear who I am, stall for several weeks in various ways and then refuse to speak with me, or try to con me by insisting I sign over a portion of my land to them before they'll represent us and then get very uncomfortable when they realize I know what's going on. Note: The lawyers in the latter group are usually the ones I've been referred to by the state bar association's referral service.)

I'd heard that a woman in our town had filed a major lawsuit against the local hospital and others over the wrongful death of her husband. This suit was suddenly dropped, and it was rumored that she had received a substantial settlement privately. It just so happened that I was a client of the business where she worked and knew her slightly, so one day I asked her about who had represented her. She replied that her lawyer had been a relative of hers from Boerne and that she would call me that evening with his name and contact information. She did call me later, and she gave me the contact information for a well-known Boerne attorney whom I knew to have represented some very high-profile clients.

I wrote to this attorney asking him to help us, and I sent him a summary of our case and sample documentation. To my pleasant surprise, his staff called and said he would meet with me, so I made an appointment. I was specifically instructed to bring the fraudulent trust document with me when I came, but instead of bringing the original document, I took a very high-quality color copy of the document. I also brought along a substantial amount of additional documentation (also all copies).

When I arrived for my appointment, I used the restroom in the hallway outside the law office and then went inside and checked in with the receptionist. I was asked to sit in the waiting area, where I waited for about 30 minutes. Finally, the lawyer came out, introduced himself to me, and then asked me to remain in the waiting area while he checked the restrooms. To my amazement, I watched him go out into the hallway and go into both the men's and women's restrooms briefly as if looking for someone. He then came back into the office, told me he was ready to see me, and escorted me back to his office.

Once I'd sat down in the lawyer's office and told him my story, he asked to see the fraudulent trust document, so I pulled out a folder containing the copy I'd brought and gave it to him. He glanced at it quickly and asked if he could hang onto it so he could study it further; I told him he could. He then began to ask me a lot of questions about where I'd filed complaints, and he wanted contact information for each person I'd talked to in law enforcement, which I gave him. I asked him about his fees and how much he would need as a retainer, but as soon as I'd asked him this, he said he couldn't accept a retainer from me and that he still wasn't sure he could represent us.

At that point, I started to become very uneasy about the whole situation with him. I asked him what the problem was, and he became evasive and said again that he just needed more time to study the fraudulent trust document. I asked him how long this would take because I was anxious for us to have some legal protection as soon as possible, and again he became evasive about whether he could represent my children and me or not and said he'd have to get back to me on it. Then as I was getting my things together to leave, he told me to be very careful driving home because he'd had four previous clients who'd been murdered. At that, I remember feeling the hair on the baON

Lawyer 1

Recently a national advocate for victims of domestic violence told me it was important for me to document our inability to obtain proper legal representation. I have been searching for such representation extensively for many years, and I have well over a thousand pages of correspondence with numerous attorneys, legal firms, legal advocacy organizations, victims' rights and assistance organizations, etc. that document this search. To this end, periodically I will be posting copies of some of this documentation. I believe I will eventually be able to show conclusively that despite living in a supposedly free country, some people still have their most basic civil rights blatantly and repeatedly violated. (We are not the only people this has happened to here by any means, and I'm asking others to share their stories as well, either as comments or with me privately at kamaudocs@gmail.com.)

I will be posting these documents somewhat randomly, so the numbers on them will be for identification purposes only. Documents from lawyers or law firms will be labeled "Lawyer" plus an i.d. number, ones from organizations will be labeled "Organization" plus a number, etc.

Here you see an early example from my search. A little background is necessary. A few months after my husband left in 1999, I received a letter from a former roommate of mine I'd kept in touch with for many years expressing her sympathy for what had happened with my husband and reminding me that her sister was a lawyer who now had a practice in Austin. My friend said in this letter that she'd mentioned our situation to her sister and that her sister had told her if the children and I needed legal help, I should contact her.

I later learned my friend's sister was a very well-known attorney in Austin, and I finally did contact her in 2003 to ask her for help by sending her the email you see here. To my shock, she not only refused to help us, but she also apparently lied about how my ex-husband had somehow illegally obtained a copy of my email to her. Sadly, I never heard from my friend again, either.

Illegal Surveillance, Part IV

After I faxed the personal injury lawyer and mass panic apparently erupted among Diop Kamau, local police, and my ex-husband as described in the previous post, two additional things happened: I received the email I believe was a death threat from Investigator Rob Jones as described in my 10/3/09 posting entitled “Other Police Threats”, and I received a second email, also from Jones, that is posted here.

This second email from Jones consisted of a page that appeared to be an eFax with two pages of documents attached to it. The eFax said it was from my correct, unlisted, phone/fax number—but I’ve never had an eFax account of any kind! (although at one point, p.i. Ed Hodges did try unsuccessfully to get me to set one up). Of even more serious concern was the fact that the two pages of documents attached to this were two pages from my private fax to the personal injury lawyer (discussed in the previous post) that I’d sent by regular fax. I’m absolutely positive about this because one of the pages has a handwritten notation I’d made on it right before I’d faxed it to the attorney.

I called eFax and verified that they had no account using my phone number, so the main emailed page has to be a fake eFax. There are only three possible ways I know of for Jones to have obtained the two pages attached to this email: either 1) the personal injury lawyer gave them to him without my knowledge or consent; 2) the lawyer provided them to someone else who sent them on to Jones, also without my knowledge or consent; or 3) someone illegally intercepted my fax. When I’d talked to agents at the San Antonio FBI office the previous summer after first confronting Diop Kamau (who told me Jones worked for him), one of the first things agents there said to me was that they were positive our phone and fax line was secure, which I remember thinking was odd, because they’d offered this information to me without my having asked for it.

My own personal opinion is that this email probably proves illegal interception of my private fax by law enforcement. In any case, I believe Jones brazenly emailed it back to me with the fake eFax just to let me know he had it because he and his associates were angry with me for having contacted the personal injury lawyer and filing a complaint with high-level state and federal law enforcement as shown by one of the attached pages. This email also reinforces the connection between Jones and Kamau, because as you can see, Jones sent Kamau a copy of it.

Diop Kamau originally told me that Rob Jones worked for him (Kamau) and was from Texas. Later, Kamau and others said Jones was from Kentucky, but I believe this may have been because Kamau and others were desperate to try and find a way to explain the Kentucky stamps on the back of my cancelled checks to Kamau as shown in my 8/28/09 “Check Connections” blog posting. (These stamps may actually link Kamau to my father, who lives in KY and has major ties to Philadelphia, the other location stamped on the check backs. The potential implications of this link are discussed earlier in my 6/29/09 “Family Business” post. My father is a known close associate of my ex-husband’s.)

I’ve heard rumors that Rob Jones actually works as an investigator for our local D.A., but no one will confirm this for me. (Am I surprised?!?) Note that I’ve been told repeatedly we need to go to this D.A.’s office both to file criminal complaints and to obtain various legal protections for both myself and my children. Also note that it’s this same D.A.’s office that is involved in the Shue, Dillday, and other notorious suspicious death cases.

Friday Night Football

Last night I went to watch the local high school football game--and wound up being threatened by a local police officer. This officer, whose step-daughter is a classmate of one of my children, often makes a point of sitting close to me at the games, and last night was no exception. As he and his family were leaving shortly before the end of the game, he walked directly behind me and suddenly grabbed my shoulder hard (much harder than anything considered socially acceptable). At the same time, he leaned over and softly said, "Take care," then left.
This officer's words were similar to ones spoken to me by a Boerne lawyer in 2005. After I wouldn't give him the originals of certain documents he wanted badly, he said four of his clients had been murdered and that I should "take care driving home".
